Intersections of gender, origin and social status

What is PAPIS?

The research project PAPIS (Parental Practices, Choices, and Responsibilities in the Icelandic Field of Education) aims to analyze the classed andgendered aspects of parental practices in the Icelandic educational system. The project was developed and funded by the University of Iceland Research Fund (2015) and the Iceland Gender Equality Fund (2017-2020). Additional sources have come from several PhD grants and students in other projects that have been part of the data collection and/or analysis.

PAPIS seeks to analyze the ways gender, origin, and social class effect Icelandic parental involvement and collaboration with schools.

A group of people from all over the world took part in this project.
